I am an American born Israeli. I originally moved to Israel right out of high school, and served in the IDF as a medic.  After the army, I moved to California where I received my BA in Religious Studies.  I then studied Rabbinics and was ordained at JTS in 1997.  I served Congregation Sinai in San Jose until 2007 when my family and I returned to live close to where I moved so many years before.

I love guiding. Israel has so much to see!  I am considered an expert in Judaism and Christianity.I am also a seasoned educator and love to facilitate the different ways we learn.  Israel is a special and challenging place and I have learned that patience is the best tool in helping people make the most of the experience.

I am very flexible with the tour details and work closely with the client to tailor make their tour.  I have a vehicle, which I can drive. I can also come along in your rental car, or we can work with a larger van or bus if need be.
I am most interested and committed to the Jewish people, our history, trials and tribulations.  Our ethnography is so diverse, that it has made me a life long student of Jewish peoplehood.  Along the way, Christianity and Islam have joined us in our monotheistic beliefs, and I studied the many religions as part of my formal undergraduate education.  I have always returned to Judaism however, and find a wellspring of truth in its philosophies.  Certainly, the return to our ancestral home is exciting not only for the Jewish people, but for humanity as well.

I am also interested in the individual path that each and everyone of us takes towards self discovery and fulfillment.  From the moment we are born, we are on a journey, and I cherish the friendships I have made along the way.  If I can help someone along their path, I am most pleased.

Where do you like to guide/ tour?

The country is so small and yet offers so much, that there is always room for more discovery.  One of my favorite places Jerusalem of course.  Just walking through the alleys of the Old City, the smells, the history, all make for a memorable visit.  Another favorite and not so well known spot is Tzippori (Sephoris).  Perhaps the greatest collection of mosaics from antiquity, this sight is nestled in the pastoral hills of the Galilee, not far from Nazareth.  Finally the Golan Heights is a wonderful place to peer into three of our neighbors' countries and see and completely different landscape from the rest of the country.  I call it Israel's Big Sky country.

What are your hobbies?

I love music, all kinds, but particularly Jazz and classic Rock.  I (barely) play guitar and still love rockin' to the oldies!  I am also a history buff and always am learning more about this amazing place.  Hiking is also a hobby of mine and I live in one of the most beautiful corners of the country.
Transportation I have an SUV which seats three with full luggage, luxuriously.  There is a jump seat in the back where two kids could be comfortable.  I can also rent a larger van ort bus if needed.
