In the afternoon jump on the Light Rail to the City Hall stop and join the City of David group tour starting from the Jaffa Gate.

The Mahane Yehuda market Bite card enables you to be a Jerusalem native for a day and get a taste from the best stands in the market.  Moreover, the tour is accompanied by a fascinating audio tour, with all the stories and the legends behind the market.  The Bite card is suitable for Kosher observers. The Bite Card is comprised of 6 slips curated in order to give you a chance to try a variety of products, flavors and the aromas of the market – without having to depend on an organized group, or tour.

Whether you are a couple, a small group, or exploring on your own, you no longer need to feel confined to organized tasting tours of the shuk. Here at Mahane, we’ve worked with top tour guides and the most beloved and colorful shuk vendors to create Shuk Bites – a single map and punchcard that allows you to enjoy the abundance of the market whenever is best for you, to walk around at your own pace, and to enjoy all the best of the best of Mahane Yehuda’s foods and beverages.

The next part of the tour starts at the Jaffa Gate where you will meet your group to visit the City of David. You will see a Sandeman guide holding a red umbrella.
The 3-hour Ancient Jerusalem: City of David Tour meets at the Jaffa Gate, as your expert licensed guide that takes you back in time 6,000 years to uncover the archaeological secrets of the City of David and the Old Testament. Not for the faint-hearted – expect underground tunnels, narrow passageways, and some wading through water, however, if you can brave it, your reward will be some of the most incredible archaeological sites in one of the holiest places on Earth.
