Begin the day at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. After a guided tour through the museum you will also have the opportunity to visit the various other memorials at the site: the Hall of Remembrance, The Valley of the Communities, the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial, the Children’s Memorial and the Avenue of the Righteous of the Nations.
After lunch, you will ascend on foot to the top of "Mount Remembrance"
, to the Mt Herzl cemetery
. Beginning in the area of the Zionist pantheon, you will be able to hear the stories of two of the great visionaries that led to the development of the Zionist movement: Theodore Herzl and Ze’ev Jabotinsky.
You will then visit the area of the leaders of the modern state of Israel and discover the important contribution to the state of such figures as Yitzchak Rabin, Golda Meir and Teddy Kollek.
You will then continue into the military cemetery, learning about the remarkable individuals who have given their lives to protect the Jewish
people, including Hannah Szenes and Yoni Netanyahu. Conclude the visit at the memorial to Ethiopian Jewry. Discover the fascinating heritage of this unique group of Jews, and the remarkable tale of their return to Israel.
The final stop will be at the Herzl Museum; in this fantastic interactive museum you will be able to delve deeply into the personal story of this extraordinary character, whose vision and passion laid the foundations for the establishment of a Jewish state.
